Yoga became a key factor in James life at an early age. Struggling with anxiety and depression in his early twenties, James found healing and wellness through yoga and a dedicated yoga practice. He has been studying and teaching yoga since 1998, first in Vancouver and then Montreal, and has been influenced by teachers and trainings throughout the world. James opened Akasha Yoga Montreal in 2015, a studio that strives to offer a space where the teacher, students and the practice of yoga are honoured. James has found much joy and purpose helping others experience the benefits of yoga through teaching classes, guiding workshops and leading the Akasha Yoga Teacher Training. Through this experience, James has developed a unique and dynamic sequencing style that employs the energetics of the poses to arrive at specific goals of health and wellbeing.
